What does “unjunked™” mean?
UNREAL™ is starting with candy, because it’s the worst offender when it comes to “junk” – corn syrup, hydrogenated fats, GMOs, artificial colors, flavors and preservatives. To “unjunk” means to replace all these ingredients with real cane sugar, real milk, more peanuts, and twice the cacao.

 What makes UNREAL™ products unique?

Our candies contain no artificial flavors, preservatives or hormones; no GMO’s (genetically modified organisms); no hydrogenated oils; and no corn syrup. Instead, we use real sugar, natural oils, and real milk. Also, you don’t need to travel to a fancy health food store or pay a premium to buy our candy, it’s only available where junk food is available.

 

Does UNREAL™ use any corn syrup?
Nope. In fact, our candies are 100% corn-free. No corn syrup, no corn oil, no corn in anything we make!

How much does UNREAL™ cost?
All pricing is at the sole discretion of the retailer.  As a company, it’s our intention to ensure that UNREAL™ candy doesn’t cost any more than what you’re used to paying for candy.
Where are your products produced?
We make our candy in the US & Canada.

 Is UNREAL™ a “healthy” candy?

We don’t consider candy to be “healthy” for you. It’s a delicious treat that we love. What we’ve done is give people a better choice, so that when they go looking for candy, they have the option to avoid the junk.

Are UNREAL™ products gluten-free?
Our candy is made with all gluten-free ingredients, but produced in facilities that handle gluten.

Is your packaging sustainable?
Not yet. Since we’ve removed the preservatives from the candy, we’ve had to use disposable packaging to keep our products fresh. However, we are currently working on finding a sustainable alternative.

Where are you guys headquartered?
Boston, Massachusetts. No one here has a great Boston accent unfortunately, we’re working on that…

Soft Scrub Total

As part of being a member of Purex insiders, I was sent two different bottles of cleaners to try out and review from the Soft Scrub line.  I really like the fact that the bottles are designed to spray no matter what angle you hold them at for the hard to reach spots.  I have always been a fan of Soft Scrub and was really excited to try out these new products.  I used the Soft Scrub Bowl & Bath Cleaner to clean my tub that seems to get some kind of sticky substance on it from our water and it worked great.  It is also nice for spray up around the rim of the toilet.   The Soft Scrub Total All purpose cleaner can be used practically anywhere in the house for cleaning and works great as well.  I highly recommend trying them out for yourself!

Dancing Queen

Paisley has been a dancer at heart since she was tiny.  I remember even before she could walk, she would wonder over to the TV or whatever was playing music and just dance her heart out.  I know for a fact that she doesn't get her dancing skills from her mother.  They may possibly come from her Daddy or Aunt Bobbi but definetly not me. 

Well in mid January, Paisley started dance classes at a dance studio in Apalachicola.  She absolutley loves going and her teachers are excellent.  Very patient with young children.  I was a little hesitant to commit to driving her to dance every week but I am so glad we made the decision to do it.  Here is a picture of my dance star before practice.





FYI:  I started this post a few months ago and am just now posting.  Paisley's dance recital is coming up soon and I can't wait to go.  I will post more about that soon.

Simple Green High End Cleaners

Simple Green recently sent me some other great products to try.  First off, I love the fact that their products are safe to use.  Not only are they safe for all the fine sufaces in your home but they are also non-toxic and biodegradable.  I don't know about you but I have been more and more aware of all the chemicals we use on a daily basis.  Who really knows what contact with all those harmful fumes does to us.  I am sure it is not good.

The line of Simple Green products I was sent to try was formulated especially for high-end surfaces and materials found in modern homes.  They included Stone Cleaner, Stone Polish, and Stainless Steel One Step Ploish and Cleaner.  They are safe to use around children and pets.  I loved that fact that you could just easily spray on and wipe back off.  My favorite was the One Step Stainless Steel Cleaner and Polish.  It cleaned the stove in no time flat and left a streak free shine.
